Paul's Background in Property & Business
I got into property accidentally when I rented out a house, I used to live in. I moved into my partners property and became a landlord overnight. (scary stuff)
I’m one of those people whose always loved all the property tv programs. It was a program called ‘Property Ladder’ back in the day - that really interested me. Each week you got to watch somebody, buy and renovate a property from start to finish and see the end results.
Fast forward a few years and I became an estate agent (the property bug really got me!) I was one of those modern agents you see about town, you know the type… those guys that work out of their car. I mean who needs an office, anyway?
I built up my contacts and networked like it was the only thing that mattered. This led me to eventually taking on a high street office! YES! Finally, I was a ‘proper agent’.
Around this time, I accidentally discovered ‘creative property strategies’ purely from working with my landlord clients.
I was often helping them find their next investment and helping them sell their unwanted buy to lets and flips. I was ‘kind of’ sourcing buy-to-lets and flips before knowing sourcing investment opportunities was even a thing. (Come to think of it, I might have invented it)
It was all very organic and just made perfect sense to me as a business model. I was definitely the local agent who was investor and investment focused. My blogs and newsletters about investing in the area, were my best marketing tool and the bonus was it cost me nothing to do.
I was at this time investing myself and doing my own thing, so I’d cherry pick the good ones and offer the others to my network of investors and landlords. It worked really well. I was fast becoming ‘the investors estate agent of choice’.

I sold deals that amounted to a 6 figure income - Once you have a system and process it's as simple as rinse and repeat.
This then turned into a new business idea that I actually co-founded (in my office) with two other guys, that we could franchise an investor focused estate agent, that offered investment opportunities amongst other things.
Within 2 years we had 50+ offices around the UK. We had become one of the fastest growing property franchises in the country. The funny thing is… our target was to sell one franchise in year 1 and we did over 20!
I’m contractually obliged to say at this point, that this was thanks to my Wife, who was the franchise sales manager. She was amazing at selling franchises to be fair.

I also co-founded a peer-to-peer investment platform around the same time as the franchise business and that has since gone on to fund millions of pounds worth of property projects all over the UK.

In 2019/2020 I decided the time was right to sell my shareholdings and I exited my businesses. This was always my end goal... to make enough money from property investing and business to allow me to focus on mine and my Wife’s dream.
Which was to emigrate and live abroad to enjoy another culture. Plus, I’d have more time to follow my passions of; family, travel, live music and to enjoy sports more (F1 & football).
I was enjoying semi-retirement in the sun but this meant I had much more time on my hands. I eventually decided, I wanted to help others and share my knowledge of 20+ years in the property game - let me explain why...
The big problem is lot's of people watch YouTube these days and find these 'property guru types' hard-selling the financial freedom dream, by using various property strategies. These guru types are fantastic marketers, they could sell ice to eskimos - but they are useless at delivering real property education that works.

The sad fact is, that most of the 'free property seminars' you see in the UK, use very dark tactics to make people spend thousands on property courses. They will have a special 1-day offer and plenty of people planted in the audience, who all strangely run to the back of the room, to buy up courses with their credit cards to encourage others to do the same. The old, fear of missing out, trick. The FOMO is real!

These happy clappy events run by so called 'property people' are a blatant pitch-fest, designed to make you feel like you MUST part with your money or you would be crazy! It's very clever marketing, but very, very wrong. How they sleep at night, I don't know!

These people are the number one reason I got involved in property education. To offer something priced fairly and with 1 to 1 support to help people succeed.
Sadly, I've witnessed thousands of people who have been ripped off and mis-sold some bogus course and got nothing from it. Some of the biggest names are the worst offenders, so don't make the mistake of choosing somebody with lots of followers - I could share stories about most of the big names that would make your blood boil.
I now mentor people and work to support them personally and I love being a small part of lots of people’s businesses. Advising them, supporting them and sharing my own knowledge along the way.
So, if you’re looking to get going and you want some help… I’d love to hear from you.
